Mid 2020 we were in discussion with our mentor in the UK. Working together we started to formulate a route to retrieve a number of Canadian Eskimo Dogs that were abandoned. Their breeder was not in the position to take them and was adamant they never go to another breeder in Alberta. With talks underway we loaded up and drove 900+km to assist. Toffee came to stay and has wormed her way into our hearts. After we had a full exam and blood work up done we started the process of finally registering her individually with the CKC. Her breeder has registered her litter but never did the individual registrations.
While in the care of a generous lady, Toffee was able to run in the Gold Rush Sled Dog Mail Run race. We are thankful for all the hard work Sally put in with her. She has made an amazing part of our team here!

Currently Toffee is alongside Xerox in harness and working towards our first title. She is a fast learner and we look forward to an amazing future with our little red head.

We will update her page with more information as it becomes available!!
Before Toffee came to live with us she lived in Central BC. During her time there she ran in the Gold Rush Trail Sled Dog Mail Run in 2019, 2020. We do plan on attending in the coming winter and hope she will be as excited to see Quesnel and her old stomping grounds as we are.
Winter 2020/2021 saw Toffee paired with Xerox, they ran a total of over 100 km. Now I know that doesn't seem like much but when you think about the lack of snow, lack of trails and her heat in the beginning of the year, we are quite proud.
Toffee is a natural at everything she does. Her movement is effortless and correct. Her attitude is often clownish and she is always up for a cuddle or zoomie session. We look forward to seeing what she produces.
